Birthday Stuff and more CrAZy Stuff

Kaylani had a wonderful time at her
Build-A-Bear Party!
It was kind of crazy and chaotic, but she had fun!  I think I kind of like
CrAzY CHaOs!
My life feels like it's full of it.  I feel like a camera crew should be following us around.  That would be some good television!  There's never a dull moment in our household that's for sure!  But I love it!
Seriously, what would life be like if everything was perfect?  My life is far from perfect (contrary to popular belief!)  Ha!  Just kidding!  But I really do love it, and I'm so blessed and so thankful.  Now back to the
CrAzY CHaOs!
I will hopefully post some birthday pictures sometime in the next decade!  My dear husband recently called me a "picture hog."  Can you believe that?  A picture hog?!  Actually, I must confess I am guilty of taking enough pictures to annoy the crap out of any sane person, child, animal, or object...and those same pictures never get past the save button on my computer!
So to all of those whom I've excitedly snapped tons of pictures of...which they've never gotten the pleasure of ever seeing...
I'm so so very sorry...a very BiG SORrY.
It must be all of the
CrAzY CHaOs!
&
 CrAzY CHaOs!
But don't worry...
I will get those to you someday
Someday...ah yes, someday!
I can't believe my sweet angel girl is 4!
FOUR!!!
Always remember this...
"It's not a sandwich, it's a Tortada!
(What the crap is a Tortads btw?)
Word to your Mutha!
No seriously, Sunday IS
Mother's Day!
Don't forget about yo Mommas!
I love me some my Momma!
(Hi, Mom!  Look I'm on t.v.!  I mean computer!)
Okay, I better go to bed before you start to worry about me!
Toodles!

Happy Birthday, Kaylani!

My sweet precious little angel girl is turning four soon!  I can't believe it!  What a little treasure God has blessed us with!!!  I love her so much!
I saw/heard this song and thought I'd dedicate it to my little (soon-to-be) four-year-old girl!  I could just cry.  I am truly blessed to know her and oh so very thankful that God chose her to be our little girl!
I know God has wonderful plans for her life and I'm excited to see how it all unfolds.  She is so unique and FULL of Life!  She loves BIG, gives BIG, dreams BIG...makes BIG LOUD noises on a regular basis... makes BIG HUGE messes all the time...but I love EVERY single bit of her a WHOLE LOT!!!!

Happy Easter!

Posted by Picasa

Happy Easter!
Today is a wonderful day!  Today I think about the One I love...the One who loves me more than any other...the only One who truly knows me...the One whom I live for...the One who died so that I could live...One beautiful man...One beautiful son...My wonderful Jesus!  In Him do I find life...a life worth living!  In Him I've found hope...in Him I find all that I need...He's all I need...nothing else matters without Him!
Today is a Happy day...a day worth celebrating!  Today I am thankful for what He did for me...for you...for this world!  Today I can rest in His love.  Today I can live.  Today I remember not to fear...for just as sure as He loves me, He loves all those I care about so dearly even more than I ever could!  Today reminds me that it's all taken care of...I should have no fear.  Death was conquered on the cross...He did it for us all!  What seems impossible is possible with Him!  Broken hearts He can surely mend.  Hardened hearts softened by His love.  Prodigals that seem so lost, He can chasten home.  Today I'm reminded there is hope!  For all was not lost when His life was given...today He is RISEN, my God is ALIVE!

Good News Part 2

Oops...I forgot to post an update to this story.  Be sure to click here if you missed Part 1.  Okay...here it is!
Good News
Part 2
...I don't share this story in order to get for myself or my husband a pat on the back.  It was such a tiny moment of our time and such a minuscule sacrifice.  But I know that each of us have a part to play.  If we've been blessed with anything, then we have something to share with others.  If you have anything, you are already blessed!  There are so many who have absolutely nothing.  I've said it before, but REMEMBER: the little you may think you have to offer can be so much to someone who is in need!  Again, we have a part to play.  I'm learning more and more that my life is not my own.  I don't just live for myself.  And shame on me if i went through my whole life looking out for myself or my husband and kids or family.  How selfish I would be!  If we have anything, it's because God gave it to us.  So I share this story as more of an encouragement to you.  There are always opportunities out there as long as we're willing to look for them.  How many times have you had a wonderful thought about helping someone and it became just another fleeting thought in your head?  You had good intentions I'm sure, but for some reason it just seemed like too much to act on it.  Maybe it was the inconvenience of the idea, or you were afraid...I'm talking to myself here, too!  My husband and I have come to a place in our lives where we truly feel that we aren't here only for ourselves and our children and what concerns us in our little world.  We honestly feel like we are on this earth with a specific role to play in the lives of others.  We are doing our best to help ourselves so we can get to a place where we can really do that.  But in the meantime, we're trying to do what we can with what we have.  We know that giving in whatever way God may ask of us is nothing for us because God is our provider.  If God is your source, then there's no fear in giving.  He relies on us to accomplish His will in the earth.  Scary sometimes for me to think about that, but true!  I may never understand why there is suffering.  Or why God chooses to allow us to help others...there's so much risk involved this way.  Obviously we're not doing our job very well, as need, lack, and suffering are such overwhelming worldwide problems.  However, God always has a plan, and I can guarantee that it includes YOU!  So get in on the action!  There's a whole world out there ready for whatever you have to offer!  I'm certain you won't have to search too long or too far.  Need is EVERYWHERE!
What is He asking you to do today?

Troubles, Science, and...Milk!

"...no life is free of troubles, regardless of religion, race, or nation.  In fact, as Job said, every life is full of it.  When we trust our lives to the hand and pen of an unseen but ever-present God, He will write our lives into His story and every last one of them will turn out to be a great read.  With a grand ending.  And not just in spite of those catastrophes.  Often because of them.  Don't just wait and see.  Live and see."-Beth Moore

In my women's Bible study group, we are studying a book on Esther by Beth Moore.  I am really loving it, and I'm loving how in-depth and thorough she is.  I've always loved Esther's story, so I'm very excited about this study!  The passage above was from our study guide.  I got a lot out of the first week, but this part really jumped out at me.  I had to share it with you!  God's plans are good for us, but friends, we live in a broken world.  Pain, tragedies, and all kinds of "catastrophes" are going to happen, but if we trust God with our lives, He will do great things!

Something else I'd like to share.  I'm sort of a science fan.  Yes, the Science Channel does interest me a bit!  Something really intrigues me about Science.  I also like learning about the great minds who have influenced our world.  I am so excited that one day when I get to Heaven, I will fully understand E=MC2!  I mean REALLY understand it...not just in layman's terms!  And I really think Einstein was on to something with his string theory...maybe it wasn't quite right...maybe it wasn't for his time.  But I'd love to understand it. My husband shared this quote by Louis Pasteur with me today:

"Science brings men nearer to God."

Check out this link for more information on Pasteur:

Here's a little more information from the article on his quote:
"Pasteur saw no conflict between science and Christianity. In fact, he believed that ‘science brings men nearer to God’. In his work as a scientist, he perceived evidence of wisdom and design, not randomness and chaos. Pasteur stated that: ‘The more I study nature, the more I stand amazed at the work of the Creator’."
Pretty neat stuff.  In case you didn't know (I didn't), he invented the Pasteurization process!
Got Milk?
Although he accomplished many other great things in his lifetime, Pasteur was no stranger to heartache.  Here's more information from the article on his personal life:

"Three of his five children died of childhood diseases. Also he had been brought up with a sister left mentally retarded by a childhood disease. Rather than crush his spirit, these tragedies spurred him on in his efforts to spare others the heartbreak of losing their children to disease. His own life was touched by a brain hemorrhage and several strokes which left him partially paralyzed."

I'm so inspired by people like Pasteur!  He allowed God to use the tragedies in his life to accomplish great things!  God wants to pen some wonderful things in your life...won't you trust Him today!
This one of my very favorite websites I like to dig around on about Science  stuff:

It has a lot of information on Creation Science.
Okay, that's all folks...to bed I go!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I thought I'd share some photos of our family with you in honor of LOVE!

Enjoy!

Lots of Hugs and Kisses around here!
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope your day is full of LOVE and you feel so special and LOVED today!  God loves you so much!
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."-John 3:16
Before I go...do you remember this post?  Near the end (it was very long...hee hee!) I mentioned my thoughts on love.  Well...I thought I'd share part of it once again...you know, since it is Valentine's Day! ;)  Okay...here goes!
Let me tell you a little about what love looks like, 'cause it's more than an ooshey-gooshey feeling!  Did you know that?  Listen:

LOVE IS [a CHOICE to be]:
patient
kind
LOVE ISN'T:
envious
boastful
proud
rude
self-seeking
easily angered
LOVE DOESN'T
keep records of wrongs
rejoice about injustice
LOVE DOES
rejoice when the truth wins out
LOVE ALWAYS
 protects
trusts
hopes
perseveres
LOVE NEVER
FAILS
(I Corinthians 13:4-7)" Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.  Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."
(Read this over slowly...and really think about it!)
Each and EVERY DAY, we are faced with decisions of whether or not to love.  With all that Life may throw at you today, what will your choice be?  It's a New Year...how 'bout a New You?
How about a LOVElier you?!!

Trip to the Mall

I had an interesting meeting at the mall yesterday!  I'd love to tell you all about it soon...

I met 2 little old men...Terry and Glen.  Please pray for their salvation.  Terry beat Cancer recently (I believe it was colon cancer) and so did his wife-breast cancer.  I know God has healed them and they are still here for a reason...eternity awaits, and they need to be ready to meet the Lord when He calls them home.  I have so many more details about these 2 precious little men...a sweet and precious story!  I'm hoping to get some time soon to write down all of the details and what's been in my heart concerning this little meeting.  Soon I hope!  In the meantime, please keep these men in your prayers.  We never know when we'll breathe our last breath...thanks! :)
